This course is a basic information and cyber security awareness course that this designed for employees and contractors of organisations.
Typically, organisations are required under law to train their staff (Articles 5 and 32 of the GDPR) in information and cyber security. The legislation requires all information workers to know about their specific obligations to keep personal data safe.
This course provides the basic understanding of information and cyber security needed for compliance purposes.
The course consists of 4 modules and 26 lessons.
This module introduces the concept of information security and how this is managed in terms of the physical security of the workplace and the technical security of the data.
Employees need to be aware of the typical threats that are present to the security of information and how their organisation may be vulnerable to these threats.
This module focuses on the ways that employees can improve information security whilst in the office, working remotely or working from home.
All employees need to understand that they have obligations to ensure that information is kept secure in their working environment.
The course is available online and on any device.
Users have to pass a simple test and they get a certificate that can be used to demonstrate compliance.
